- What do you want to use it for? Professional application development?
- Learning Windows programming with C++?
-
- If professional development, Symantec, Microsoft, Borland and others have
- entries in the field. My bet would be on Micrsoft Visual C/C++ V4.0 or
- even Borland C/C++ V4.5+.
-
- If you just want to learn C/C++ and Windows programming, check out
- Borland's Turbo C/C++ (which is a watered-down version of Borland C/C++).
-
- I, too , have MS Visual C/C++ V1.0 and for Windows V3.1 proramming, it's
- fine - especially if you just want to learn it. It's not as easy as the
- new MS Visual C/C++, but then again it won't cost you anything.
